Once again I must apologise. I’ve been so busy this month I honestly thought I was going to be able to spend more time book reviewing but this month is almost over and I’m only just getting round to doing a book review on Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon over a month later when I had actually read it. I am so sorry, I will try to focus more on my blog!
I have given Everything, Everything 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Title: Everything, Everything
Author: Nicola Yoon
Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Synopsis (from Goodreads): My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.
Apologies are in order as I have been quite inactive over this past month, I’m afraid it’s just been so busy! I haven’t been able to focus on book reviews and reading as much as I would have liked to and for that I am truly sorry. I’m going to do my best and read as much as I can in my spare time and write more book reviews over this month.
In this coming week I have a work conference I am going to, which requires me to stay over in a hotel so I shall read, read and read when I can! This Sunday I am going to be skydiving *gasp* which I’m very excited for to say the least! My boyfriend got me this thrilling experience for celebrating our first anniversary together! I have a Busted gig and my boyfriend’s aunt and uncle’s wedding anniversary party lined up in this month too. So hopefully I shall be able to fit in reading here and there.
Moving on, this month I have read four books, these were:
- Now Is Good by Jenny Downham
- Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
- Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
- Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
I am currently reading the third companion book in the Anna and the French Kiss trilogy which is called Isla and the Happily Ever After.
I’m really happy with reading four books this month considering how busy it has been, although it’s not near enough how many books I would have liked to have read.
April was a good reading month of great books, the companion, contemporary trilogy by Stephanie Perkins was definitely needed after reading Everything, Everything!! I wasn’t expecting the story to turn out the way it did and it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. I shall be doing a book review for Everything, Everything very shortly so you can find out a bit more about that novel if you haven’t got your hands on it already.
There wasn’t one book this month which I didn’t enjoy or couldn’t quite get into it to begin with, which was a result.
Once again I am sorry that I’ve been AWOL recently,
