Cress by Marissa Meyer Book Review

My first book review of 2017! I am so sorry for the lack of posts on my blog. I really disappointed myself when I lost touch with writing book reviews and even finding the time to pick up a book. This year I’m going to do my absolute best to turn things around!

Enough of the sulking, time to get into the book review…

I have given Cress by Marissa Meyer five out of five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Author: Marissa Meyer

Genre: Science Fiction (Dystopian), Adventure, Fantasy, YA

Synopsis (from Goodreads): In this third book in Marissa Meyer’s bestselling Lunar Chronicles series, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and prevent her army from invading Earth.

Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl trapped on a satellite since childhood who’s only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s being forced to work for Queen Levana, and she’s just received orders to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is splintered. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a higher price than she’d ever expected. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai, especially the cyborg mechanic. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has.

Happy New Year!

Firstly, Happy New Year to all the lovely bloggers on here!

I can’t believe it’s been seven months since I last posted a book review or something book related on here.

Last year, was pretty busy and I was unable to juggle training for a half marathon, working five days a week and finding time to not only book review but to actually read a book. I only managed to read 28 books out of the goal of 100 I originally planned for myself to read. I thought it was going to be a lot easier to read 100 books, but I was definitely wrong!

This year I have a Goodreads goal of 30 books, to make this year more realistic.

I’m going to do my absolute best to commit to this website, write book reviews and make this a big part of 2017 as I really enjoyed reviewing and writing about books. I feel like I lost a big part of myself last year due to not doing what I loved to do.

So, here’s to a new year of commitments and I hope you guys are doing well and I’ll talk to you guys very soon!
