Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a great week so far, I’ve been tagged by the lovely Amber, over at Step Into A Book World – if you haven’t heard or checked out Amber and her awesome blog before, click the link above!
Without further ado, let’s begin:
A REALLY HYPED BOOK YOU’RE NOT INTERESTED IN READING
I had to really think about my answer to this question as there isn’t a book in particular so I thought I’ll have to go with anything by the author E. Lockhart.
I read We Were Liars either last year or the year before and really didn’t enjoy it (unpopular opinion), however I will give Genuine Fraud a read but I’m not racing to buy it anytime soon.
A SERIES YOU WON’T START/WON’T BE FINISHING
I have never gotten round to reading the Divergent series and am in no rush to do so. I don’t know if I’ll ever start it, maybe one day.
A CLASSIC THAT YOU’RE JUST NOT INTERESTED IN?
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I’ve never been into reading classic stories before but I’d like to start reading some soon (especially as the book covers I’ve seen for the classics in Waterstones are absolutely beautiful and would look wonderful on my bookshelves!)
ANY GENRES YOU NEVER READ?
I have never read a classic book, but I hope to soon! I might challenge myself throughout the year to pick up a couple of classic books and see if I enjoy them.
A BOOK ON YOUR SHELVES YOU’LL PROBABLY NEVER ACTUALLY READ?
Eventually I will get round to reading all of my books on my shelf (hopefully!), however the book I feel that matches this question the most is probably The Burning World by Isaac Marion, it’s the second book in the Warm Bodies series.
Thank you once again for tagging me, Amber! I love doing book tags and awards!
Now it’s my turn to tag my fellow book lovers:
- Nicole from The Book Work Drinketh
- Sumaya from Sue’s Reading Corner
- Jasmine from How Useful It Is
- Larissa from Book Bosomed Blonde
I hope you all enjoyed reading my answers. If you’ve already done this tag please don’t feel like you have to do it again, for those of you who choose to do this tag; I look forward to reading your answers!
Happy reading,
Claire 📚
I enjoy reading the Christmas Carol, but I tend to like many books written like that. I too have never had any desire to read the Divergent series. Great post!

I shall definitely give it a go, I hope I enjoy them as much as I want to! Maybe one day I’ll read the series but I’m not fussed when that would be. Thank you!

We were liars, divergent, and a Christmas carol are on my list too. Though I do want to read them, just haven’t gotten around to it somehow 😊 Thanks for tagging me!

I really wished I enjoyed We Were Liars, I hope you do! So many books, so little time! You’re welcome ☺️

I loved Christmas Carol, so I hope you give classics a try! I also despised the Divergent trilogy, so I don’t blame you for not wanting to finish it. Haha.

I really hope I enjoy Christmas Carol and other classics! I shall give it a try some time in the future but for now I’m not interested in reading them.

It’s too bad you didn’t like E. Lockhart! I adored We Were Liars, and I’m really excited to read Genuine Fraud. I also really liked Christmas Carol, though when I was younger I didn’t love it that much, I mostly read it just to know the original story. You should read Dickens’s other novels, he is really an amazing classics author. They seem big and intimidating, but they’re actually really enjoyable! ❤

It really is, I heard so many good things about it before I had read it but I just didn’t like it, maybe I’ll read it in a couple of years and enjoy it (wishful thinking!) They really are intimidating and I definitely need to get past that to read classics! ☺️

I remember all the hype around We Were Liars, and I remember going into the bookstore and reading the description and not really thinking much of it. I am glad to hear that I didn’t really miss anything by not reading it.

It was just one of those books that I couldn’t get in to, a lot of people have said it’s really good so I’d say if you have the chance to check it out but I know what you mean, when you read a description of a book and you’re not interested it’ll take a lot to shake you out of that mindset.

I’ve started the divergent series when the first movie came out and I remember loving the first book but then not truly liking the 2nd one so I’ve never finished the series :p + We Were Liars is definitely an overhyped book, I enjoyed it but not as much as I hoped!

I have a love-hate relationship with Divergent. First, I loved it. Then…well, there’s a reason I call it a love-hate relationship.
