Book Description (via Goodreads): For Gemma Green’s first time, things should have been straightforward. Find your subject, hold their gaze and push a thought into their head to save them from future disaster – Aversion complete. A pretty simple process given that the subject was to have no recollection of the experience. But Russ Tanner doesn’t seem to want to forget. In fact the more she tries to avoid him, the more he pushes to get to know her. Gemma knows she has a problem but is she facing the side effects of a failed Aversion or has the school’s tennis champ really fallen for her? YA Paranormal Romance novella
I have received Aversion by Kenechi Udogu in exchange for an honest review. I have given this book four out of five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book had me pulled in from the first page, I really enjoyed this one! I adored the characters Udogu created, especially Gemma Green (Colt) and Russ Tanner they were very likeable and I loved their sweet romance that blossomed throughout the pages. I couldn’t wait to read each scene both of these characters were written into.
The storyline for this paranormal series is very interesting and and refreshing compared to other books I have read from this genre in the past. I love the concept of there being people called Averters who are able to save certain people (subjects) by “averting” their future disasters. I love the twist in this story and the fact they have made it into a mini series as I want to keep reading more, not just about Gemma and Russ, but the events they will face in the next few books!
I don’t want to give too much of this book away as I think it should be one you start reading without knowing anything except the description about.
I’m beyond excited to read the rest of this series next and would definitely recommend this book to fans of young adult, paranormal, mystery and lightly romantic genres.
Happy reading,
Claire 📚
Glad you enjoyed it. I am still thinking about reading the others or not. The first didn’t really suck me all the way in.
