Hello everyone, I hope you’re all well and keeping safe out there.
In November, I decided to take part in the Gilmore Girls Readathon between 15th – 22nd. I really really enjoyed participating in this readathon and can’t wait to do another one in the future.
For this readathon, the below prompts were given to everyone to follow:
I managed to read four books in this week long Readathon which I have to say I am super proud of myself for achieving this as it’s been a looooong time since I’ve focussed this much in order to read that many books within a month let alone a week! I really enjoyed the books that I chose and managed to read for this Readathon which were:
- The Best New True Crime Stories: Small Towns by Mitzi Szereto (under the prompt: Read a book set in a small town) – if you would like to read my book review, please click here
- Mom & Me & Mom by Maya Angelou (under the prompt: Read a book that features a mother/daughter relationship) – if you would like to read my book review, please click here
- One Of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus (under the prompt: Read a book set during fall/winter) – if you would like to read my book review, please click here
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han (under the prompt: Read a book by an Asian author/has Asian representation) – if you would like to read my book review, please click here
The one book which I was unable to read due to my time running out was: After We Fell by Anna Todd – which would have been under two prompts: Read a book with complicated love interests and Read the next book in a series you haven’t finished. However, I can happily say that I’ve finished that book and the final book in that series as well, Anna Todd is an incredible author and I love reading her books!
There was another fun prompt that was on the list which was to: Bake a fall treat & watch your favourite episode. I ended up making Cinnamon Swirls whilst watching one of my favourite episodes from Season Two, Episode Thirteen: A-Tisket, A-Tasket.
There was also a bingo board (as per picture above) which was available to also challenge yourself to tick as many as you can off, but I chose not to focus on that and stick to the prompts instead. Looking at the bingo board now I can see that I can tick some of the bingo prompts off which is a nice surprise.
For those of your who joined in with the Readathon, I hope you had fun participating and for those who didn’t, I hope you get to join in on doing one soon!
Have you participated in any Readathons recently or have you got any coming up? If so, which one(s)? Let me know in the comments below.
