Catching Irish by Katy Regnery Book Review

Oh my, oh my! This book had me blushing, double-taking at the words I read and enjoying everything that this novella had to offer.

This is the fourth and final novella in The Summerhaven Trio series that can be read as a standalone, which is what I have done. Catching Irish follows two POVs in this novella; through the minds of Tate Jennings and Finian Kelley. Both characters are neither looking for love, but when you’re not looking for love it’s normally going to come and swoop in and catch you completely off guard! I don’t want to say too much about them as it is a short book (They don’t call it a novella for nothing Claire!) and I don’t want to ruin it all!

I absolutely adored the physical connection between Tate and Finian, it was very refreshing and lustful. I was not expecting to have such raw, uncensored details of their sexual encounters but, boy oh boy does Regnery deliver the steamy, passionate goods! Through the pages, you can definitely see how these two individuals neeeeed each other!

I knew it was going to be fairly quick as 1) it’s a novella and 2) …. well, it’s a novella, it’s what they are. So, although this book packs a punch around these two characters and their sexual chemistry, we don’t get to learn much about the secondary characters surrounding this novella. However, I believe the other characters that we get to meet at The Summerhaven are the characters who are the main focus in the other books of this series which I thought was a really fun idea. Also, there’s a fun little shorthand update (as Regnery calls it)of all the characters at the end of this novella which is a really lovely touch as there isn’t an epilogue to read through.

I have only read a few of Katy Regnery’s books but I am determined to read them all! This incredible author has such a way win storytelling, it’s very difficult to put her books down. I’m very happy to have learnt about this exceptional author and will continue to recommend her to readers who enjoy adult romance novels.
